This gives the therapist access to some facial muscles from a different angle than external facial massage alone.

Although the technique may feel unusual at first, your therapist should explain it beforehand and make sure you’re comfortable proceeding. You can request adjustments or decline the intraoral component.

What Happens During a NEOLIFTING® Treatment?

Before your treatment begins, your therapist will discuss your preferences, any facial sensitivity and whether the intraoral massage component is appropriate for you.

The treatment may involve external facial massage around the cheeks, jawline and other facial muscles, with pressure adapted to your comfort.

For the buccal massage component, your therapist will explain the inside-the-mouth technique and use appropriate hygienic precautions, including disposable gloves.

Your appointment also includes a Classic Facial. The exact sequence and time spent on each component can be discussed with our team before booking.

If anything feels uncomfortable during your treatment, you can ask your therapist to adjust or stop the technique.

Is Buccal Facial Massage Painful?

Buccal massage can feel different from an ordinary facial because it involves controlled pressure on the inside and outside of the cheeks.

Some areas may feel sensitive or tender, particularly if you carry tension around your jaw. However, the treatment should not cause sharp, severe or overwhelming pain.

Your therapist should explain the process and adapt pressure to your comfort. There is no need to tolerate excessive discomfort for the treatment to be worthwhile.
